Tamnavulin Double Cask, Speyside Single Malt Whisky
Tamnavulin (literally meaning — windmill on a hill) whiskey distillery is situated not far away from an old windmill.
Tamnavulin Double Cask is single malt whiskey, distilled twice in copper pot stills. After distilling it is matured for 3 years in American white oak barrels, which previously contained Bourbon whiskey. In order to finalise the preparation process, Double Cask whiskey is poured into Oloroso sherry and red wine barrels from Spain. Before bottling, whiskey is held for several months in barrels where it obtains the golden amber hue.
Colour: Golden amber.
Aroma: Rich and warming with apple, honey and marzipan tinge and slight touch of marmalade.
Taste: Refreshing, with soft pear, ripe peach, baked pineapple and Demerara sugar notes.
Aftertaste: Rich, smooth and refreshing.
