THE RING OF NAMEJS – one of Latvian decorative symbols. This ring marks the initiation of a boy to become a man. All rings are hand-made and therefore unique, but they are united by one peculiarity – it is always plaited of three strands. Each strand represents one of the ancient Latvian regions – Vidzeme, Latgale and Kurzeme, thus showing that, despite any disagreements, these regions still form a united nation.
