On March 7th was completed a basic course on wine for professionals that was organized as part of the Nautimus project. Courses of such format are going on annually since 2011 for the people who are working in hospitality industry – restaurants, cafes and hotels. Course was delivered by SIA Liviko sommelier Aigars Lukstiņš.
At the end of the course, the participants passed a test, which included a theoretical part – to check knowledge on wine making regions, processes and grape varieties, as well as a practical part – wine tasting and its professional description. This year, out of 46 participants of the course, 32 students successfully passed the exam and received a certificate from the Nautimus program confirming successful completion of the course.
The best test results this year showed the sommelier of Light House restaurant Toms Buliņš.
